RCCG's Response to Aribisala's Article on Pastor Adeboye: Christlike?

Following the reviling article, written by a Vanguard columinist, Femi Aribisala on August 16, 2015, titled : "Pastor Adeboye:The Richest Man in the World", where he literally condemned the renowned man of God and General Overseer, RCCG, Pastor E.A. Adeboye's teachings, the RCCG's media department has responded.

It was conspicuously clear, that though, Aribisala , an acclaimed pentecostal pastor, seemed to be speaking on humility from a scriptural perspective, but his arguments appeared totally unscriptural, as Jesus in Matthew 7:1, vehemently opposed such holier than thou attitude, when He said : "Judge not, that ye be not judged".

According to the publication, here are some of the allegations of Aribisala against  RCCG's G.O:
"Is Redeemed still a church or is it now essentially a business concern? The Trinity Towers project shows the lines are now totally blurred. Jesus warns: “No one can serve two masters. You cannot serve both God and Money.” (Matthew 6:24). Nevertheless, this Tower of Babylon being built with church funds is designed both for the worship of God and for the worship of money.

Pastor Adeboye is getting increasingly carried away by vanity. I have a tape of a question-and-answer session he had with his church-workers a number of years ago in which he boasted that the time would soon come when, before anybody could aspire to be president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he would first have to talk to Redeemed Church. Nothing in the scriptures can be construed as suggesting this as one of the stated objectives of Jesus Christ."

In response to this disparaging write-up, the Media and Public Relations Department of RCCG, headed by pastor Adegbiji, published a long-winding reaction today on http://www.nigerianeye.com.

Having in mind the nature and calibre of the servant of God at stake, it is questionable if the PR department of RCCG was supposed to descend so low in dissecting and scrutinizing Aribisala's words on the G.O, knowing full well that such criticisms must surely arise.

Although, the media department has the professional obligation to publish and react to stories relating to the church and the ministers, however, it is unclear if their response to Aribisala's publication was approved by the G.O, because going by Christ's sermon on the mount, the blue print on handling such issues are well stated.

In the gospel according to Saint Matthew, chapter 5, verses 10-11, it reads:
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

From the foregoing passage, is RCCG'S response to Aribisala's article on Pastor Adeboye Christlike?
