It is with great pleasure that Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC) wishes to introduce the W.TEC Technology & Entrepreneurship Program for Women – a program that aims to empower women technologically and entrepreneurially.
The W.TEC Technology & Entrepreneurship Program is a development certificate course targeted at women widely aimed at equipping them with useful Technological and ICT skills that will improve their business, employability and productivity in the work and businessplace.
The purpose of this programme is to work with women who are business owners, professional workers and artisans who are literate enough to understand the importance of ICT in today’s world. We also hope to open their eyes towards exploring career opportunities and options related to information technology. Our program includes technology training, social media tools and productivity enhancement tools etc. Women can be empowered with information for all round life and career development, and equally arm them with a variety of functional technological & ICT skills that will be useful in navigating the real world of the workplace and business, upholding cutting edge standards and exhibiting sterling performance in Life.
The programme will focus specifically on teaching useful technological & enterprise skills such as Self-awareness and Personal Development, Basic ICT Skills and Computer Applications (Practical Session), Social Media as a significant tool for Career & Business Development (Practical Session) as topics for the morning session, while the afternoon session will feature Talk on Entrepreneurship & Mind Mapping, Harnessing and Utilizing Technology Effectively for Business Success (Talk), Business Portfolio Presentation using MS PowerPoint (Practical Session), (sub-topics under them include: Developing a Business Model, How to Raise Capital & Growing your Business) relevant in the present society as a pre-requisite for strong footing and empowerment that will yield better self-worth, enhance awareness of strengths for relevance in the society and workplace.
