The Central Bank of Nigeria will from Monday (today),
peg the maximum ceiling of N150,000 on conversion of
third-party cheques to cash by individuals. The Punch
newspaper reports that the directive is in tune with the
cash-less policy of the CBN. The implication of the policy
is that any cheque above N150,000 originating from a third
party must be lodged into the beneficiary’s account.
