In an attempt to escape arrest by an official of the Lagos State Traffic Maintenance Agency
[LASTMA], a
23 year old commercial motorcyclist, Olawunmi Glover has lost his life at Balogun Bus stop, Ajegunle,
Apapa.
The fatal accident occured on Saturday when the deceased, Olawunmi was conveying a GCE candidate with him on his bike to his examination center in Ajegunle.

The deceased reportedly was attempting
to escape from the LASTMA official after the latter spotted him riding
without a head helmet.
He however ran into a huge pothole resulting in a serious accident.
Olawunmi was subsequently taken to Ayepe hospital but was rejected and later taken to another hospital along the Kirikiri road where he eventually died.
His passenger, the GCE candidate is still receiving treatment in the same hospital.
Many commercial motorcyclists on Monday gathered to bury the departed young soul as they trooped enmasse on their bikes behind a yellow bus which conveyed Olawunmi to the Ikoyi cemetary after collecting his body from the morgue.
