Redeemed Church Pastor Kidnapped From Pulpit in Lokoja

There was pandemonium at the Resurrection Parish, of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Lokoja, Kogi State, as unknown gunmen stormed the church, and whisked away Pastor Ayo Funsho, who was on the pulpit on that fateful Sunday.

According to Tribune online, the armed men stormed the church and started shooting sporadically, causing chaos in the church, and then went straight to the pulpit where they took the pastor, placed him in their vehicle and left.The kidnappers later opened dialogue with the church elders,Monday evening demanding a ransom of N50 million.

However, the Kogi State command of the Nigeria Police said it was not aware of the incident as the matter has not being reported to them.
