Former Head of State and flag bearer of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in the last general elections, Maj-Gen Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), is in mourning mood, following the passing away of his first daughter, Zulai.
Largely unknown till news of her death filtreed in on Thursday evening after delivering a baby in Nasara Hospital, Marafa Estate in Kaduna, Zulai would have been 40-years-old on December 5, 2012.
The graduate of Economics from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, left behind Amira, Moh’d and the two-day-old baby girl.
The former Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nasir el-rufai, said, “May the soul of Zulaihatu, the eldest daughter of General Muhammadu Buhari, rest in perfect peace.”
Congress for Progressive Change spokesman, Rotimi Fashakin, described Zulai’s death as sad.
