Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has again promised that his team will triumph over their weekend foes Lone Star of Liberia this weekend. He assured Nigerians and Cross River State Liyel Imoke that the national team will offer a sweet victory to the nation on Saturday, October 13. The Eagles will clash with the Liberians at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar.
Keshi, however, urged Nigerians to pray for the team. “Because by God’s grace come Saturday we will give the nation a sweet victory and qualify for the Nations Cup in South Africa”.
Keshi said he is optimistic because his army of European based professionals has promised that they will all be in Calabar by today at the latest to deliver the ticket this weekend. He said there was enough time to prepare the team for the game against the Lone Star of Liberia even as he harped on the fact that most of the players invited have been playing regularly for their clubsides which is enough to make up for the lost time.
The team arrived Calabar yesterday through Arik Air that left Abuja at 10:50am for the one hour flight.
