The Media has been awashed for sometime about the ill health of former governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lam Adesina last night.
It was gathered yesterday night that the former governor was rushed
to the University College Hospital (UCH) around 9pm due to an
undisclosed ailment.
Hospital sources informed that he was in the hospital and was being given close monitoring.
It was further gathered that he had been on treatment for the undisclosed ailment for quite a while.
He was said to have been given very prompt attention by a team of
specialists in the suite where his son who is the Oyo State Commissioner
for Youth and Sports, Mr Dapo Lam-Adesina and a few others were waiting
on him.
When the commissioner was called to confirm development, his telephone line was switched off.
However, the chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Chief
Akin Oke, said he was aware that the former governor had been slightly
indisposed.
“He has been slightly indisposed. That I know of,” said Oke, but when
pressed further if he was aware that Lam was hospitalised in UCH, he
replied, “I don’t know. What I know is that he’s been slightly
indisposed.”
The 73-year old top brass of the ACN in an interview with a radio
station in Ibadan last week denied rumours of his ill health. (source:
